Why I Make Gamebooks
In mid-2018 I got my autism diagnosis. To go through the process, to even reach the point where I thought I might be autistic, I had to revisit years of memories. After taking time to process the diagnosis, I decided I wanted to tell my story. To get people to understand reasons to treat others with respect. That we don't need to like somebody or agree with them to see them as a person deserving respect. I just needed a medium I could use.
In late 2025 I discovered gamebooks as a potential way to finally tell the stories that matter to me. Now that I've made a few, I'm finding that, while I still want to tell me story, what I want more is to learn more about situations I have never and will never experience. I make gamebooks to explore perspectives. If any of my gamebooks resonate with you, I’m grateful for your support.
